Timothy P. Dillon is a judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in July of 2015 by former governor Jerry Brown.
After graduating from law school in 1981, Judge Dillon joined the New York law firm of Golenbock and Barell where he practiced as an associate for five years. In 1986 he moved to the West Coast to join the Los Angeles law firm of Wyman, Bautzer, Kuchel, and Silbert as an associate. After practicing there for two years, Dillon became a partner at Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard, Avchen and Shapiro LLP and then made a lateral move to Shernoff, Bidart, and Echeverria, where he practiced until 2000. In 2000, Judge Dillon opened up the Law Offices of Timothy P. Dillon, where he practiced civil law until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2015.
Judge Dillon has served as a legal lecturer at the University of California Gould School of Law and he is a member of the Executive Board of the California Judge’s Association.
He graduated form the College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where he was the Law Review’s Executive Editor for Professional Articles and summa cum laude with his B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany.
